COVID-19 Plan for safe & healthy markets!!
Per the Governor's Orders...
Face Coverings Required at Salem Community Markets
Effective July 15, 2020, Governor Brown has made face coverings mandatory (for everyone 5 years of age and older) in all public spaces, including outside where social distancing is not possible at ALL times. It is becoming increasingly difficult to enforce the 6 ft social distancing requirement, therefore, masks are now required while shopping at our markets.
We have several vendors selling masks at the Saturday Market and during the week online. Our makers offer
a broad variety of masks including children's sizes up to extra large. When you visit us, wear your face masks/shields. If you don't have one, we will provide you one or you can visit our makers to shop for one.
Our members and staff thank you for helping us stay safe.

During this time of COVID-19, we have made adjustments just like everyone else right now... our market is NOT operating as an event, but rather an open air market/grocery store where guests can get their essential grocery products. All vendors are now allowed to participate so you will find products that include: fresh local produce, meat (lamb, beef, bison, pork, sausage), dairy (milk & eggs), bread/pastries, preserved goods, packaged foods (nut butters, hummus, coffee), bath & body, agricultural items (plant starts, nursery items, flowers), artisan crafts that include textiles, artwork, wood & metal crafts, jewelry, and so much more!

Farmers markets are classified the same as a “grocery store”… maybe even safer due to less handling than traditional grocery stores and the space to meet the required social distancing. These are uncharted waters for all of us, however, we remain committed to providing our growers and artisans with the opportunity, services and sites to market their products.
We will continue with best practices and plan for a safe and healthy market! Here are the changes being implemented by our organization and vendors:
