We are hopeful to bring back ​Food Demonstrations to the Saturday Market... providing guests an opportunity to taste fantastic seasonal produce and market products prepared before their eyes.


Date TBD            Water Bath Canning
                              In partnership with OSU Extension Master Food Preservers
                                      Fruit, applesauce, pastry fillings and 3 bean salad


Date TBD            Pressure Canning Demonstration
                              In partnership with OSU Extension Master Food Preservers
                                     
How to safely build your pantry with soups, dried beans, meats for
                                      healthy options and quick meals through the year.


Date TBD            Freezing Vegetables
                              How to preserve quality and nutrition, and how to store for more flavor 

Date TBD            All Things Tomato! 
                              Sauce, stewed, roasted and souped

Date TBD            Pickles and Relishes
                              In partnership with OSU Extension Master Food Preservers
                              Quick pickles for winter meals and summertime sandwiches. Easy, safe
                                      and tested recipes for corn relish, dill, sweet and bread & butter pickles.
                                      All kinds of vegetables can be pickled!

                              In partnership with OSU Extension Master Food Preservers
                              Do it safely and simply on your counter with no special equipment

                              Cheese, fruit, meat and wine pairings
 
Date TBD            Eat Your Vegetables & Great Carbohydrate Substitutes
                              Zoodles, spaghetti squash and riced cauliflower. Great carbohydrate
                                      substitutes and alternative ways to eat your vegetables. Delicious, rich
                                      in fiber and nutrition.


Date TBD            How to Butcher a Squash!
                              Roasted squash and other fall vegetables. If the weather is cool, we will
                                      make soup.
