Jury Steps for Growers & Producers
All products for sale must be accepted the Jury Committee prior to selling at any of the markets managed and operated by Salem Community Markets.
The Growers Advisory Team (GAT) Jury Committee review returning vendors with new products or new applications to our markets with products that include: nursery, produce, cut flower, meats, fruit and berries.
New vendors from our immediate area, Marion, Polk and Linn Benton will be given preference over vendors from areas which are further from our markets. The only exception will be products not available from our local area. Examples could include: seafood and possibly some fruits and vegetables. All products must be grown and sold by the vendor.
1. Following submission of your application and payment of your application fee, the GAT Jury
Committee Chairman will be notified.
2. The GAT Committee will receive and review all application information starting the first week in March.
3. The GAT Committee will share results with the Executive Director who will notify prospective vendors
within 2 week via email regarding product approval/denial.
4. To help speed up the approval process, prospective vendors are encouraged to work on obtaining all
insurance and licensing documents. Those documents should be uploaded those to the Manage My
Market vendor profile under the licensing tab.
