Mission & Vision
The mission of the members of Salem Saturday Market is:
The Market’s selling policy is to enable a customer to buy something from the person who made or grew it. All items must be handmade, hand grown, cooked or crafted by the member. All market vendors have products juried by a committee of their fellow vendors before becoming members and selling at the market. This ensures that only top quality foods, plants, produce and handcrafted items are sold at the Market. Vendors must comply with the requirements for licensure and inspection unique to their product. Appropriate insurance coverage is required.
- to provide local growers of agricultural products, producers of prepared foods, artisans and crafters with the opportunity, sites and services to market their products directly to the consumer
- to enhance the quality of life in the Willamette Valley by providing our community with a vibrant gathering place
- to strengthen and encourage community support for our local economy
