STEP 1 - Create an EMail that answers the following questions as your Vendor Statement Answering ALL of the following questions. You are encouraged to explain in detail and sell your products. Each answer is important to the jury committee; please do not assume they are experts in your field.
Tell us a bit about why you chose to create your particular product(s) versus another artisan craft.
Describe the process(es) used to create your art, including some of the tools you utilize in creating your product.
Where do you get the raw materials to create your product, and why did you chose that particular supplier?
What makes your craft unique, special, different than "similar" vendor's products?
How do you envision your market display? Please describe.
STEP 2 - Provide minimum of 3-5 close-up photos
A photo of your work space is REQUIRED (unless your product is packaged through a co-packer). This helps ensure that products are handmade/handcrafted by the applicant.
Provide a close up photo of your label (front & back).
Provide a group photo that includes all of the products you would like to sell.
Photos must be labeled with description of what jury committee is viewing.
Photos will be used to review the product’s detail, quality and artisan’s workmanship so it is critical that the photos be good. Your application approval will be delayed if the Vendor Statement is incomplete (all questions must be answered) and if any photos are missing (specifically work space photo).
If your products are CBD items, vendors are required to comply with OAR rules, regulations and must provide proper testing, paperwork and labeling (batch #, CBD & THC levels).
IMPORTANT - Please send photos as attachments versus in the body of the email.
Judging criteria and process
The Processed & Packaged Products Committee will review and score based on the following 4 areas: Overall Detail & Presentation, Vendor Statement, Photos, and Market Enhancement. Products will be given a score of 1-5 for each criteria area.
The minimum product points needed for approval will be based on 70% of the number of Jury Committee members voting.
The Processed Packaged Jury Committee will receive all information provided with a 1 week deadline to complete the judging of your products.
The Jury Committee will share results with market staff who will notify prospective vendors within 1 week via email regarding product approval/denial.
